MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by taking

At approximately 7:04 p.m. April 12 officers were dispatched to an Oakhaven Street address in reference to the theft of a dog. The owner of the dog informed officers that his dog has been missing since April 8 and that a neighbor notified him that his dog was in a neighbor’s yard. When the man contacted the neighbor to return his dog, the neighbor took the dog to the Animal Rescue Foundation instead.



Criminal damage to property

A report was filed noting damage to the tires of two Milledgeville Police Department patrol units. The morning of April 13, an employee of the MPD noticed that the tires of two patrol units were slashed.



Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported the theft of two box fans by a female April 12. The woman loaded the box fans into a shopping cart and attempted to exit the store through the grocery exit of the building. She was stopped at the last point of sale when asked to present a sales receipt for the merchandise.  



Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported the theft of a bottle of shampoo and a car charger by a man April 14. The man was seen placing the items in his pocket and attempting to leave the store without payment.
