MILLEDGEVILLE — Marijuana Possession

A case worker for DFACS reported finding a small plastic bag of marijuana at approximately 10 a.m. April 6. While interviewing a man in one of the conference rooms, the employee stated that after he left she found a bag of what she believed to be marijuana, sitting in his chair.  

Theft by Taking

Deputies were dispatched to a Lovers Lane address April 10 in reference to a stolen vehicle. The owner of the vehicle informed officers that the last time she saw her car was approximately 11 p.m. April 9 before going to bed. When she woke up she discovered the vehicle was missing.

Entering Auto

A man reported that an unknown person broke into his vehicle while it was parked at his Corral Road address April 9. Upon inspection of the car, the owner noticed that his Aspire laptop was missing from his vehicle.  

Fraud-Financial Identity

A man reported that he received a notice via mail from the Illinois Department of Revenue that his income tax return had not been processed due to issues verifying his identity. He contacted the Georgia Department of Revenue to report the incident and informed law enforcement that he has never lived in Illinois or filed taxes in the state.  


A woman reported the theft of several of her checks by her ex-husband sometime between Jan. 28 and April 9. Due to medical problems, the woman has been unable to check her account on a regular basis for some time. When she followed up on her finances, she noticed that several checks from her checkbook were missing from the binder. The bank informed her that the checks were cashed at different locations in Baldwin County by her ex-husband.
