MILLEDGEVILLE — Criminal Trespass

Deputies were dispatched to a Highway 49 auto salvage shop June 30 in reference to a report of criminal trespass. The property owner informed officers that when he arrived at the business he noticed that the padlock had been cut off of the front gate. No items were reported missing or damaged in the main office or on the property.


A woman at a Shana Drive address reported the theft of her son’s shoes from the residence sometime between 1 and 4 p.m. June 30. Upon returning home, she noticed that three pairs of shoes were missing from her son’s bedroom. No other items were reported missing.

Possession of Marijuana

While patrolling the area of Vinson Highway and Youngblood Road June 29, a deputy observed a vehicle driving down Vinson Highway with a headlight out. A traffic stop was initiated on Youngblood Road in which the officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The deputy also noticed a bong and pipe sitting in the passenger compartment of the car. Upon searching the vehicle, a small bag of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was found inside the battery compartment of the car.
