The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

Burglary

Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress at approximately 8:23 p.m. Feb. 19. A witness reported seeing an unknown man removing a bed and a sofa from a Grandview Apartment building.

Entering Auto

A woman reported the theft of her purse from her vehicle Feb. 19 while it was parked at a Shelby Lane address. 

Obstruction of Officers

A woman was charged for obstruction of officers during a traffic stop for a possibly impaired driver around 3:19 a.m. Feb. 16. While questioning the driver of the vehicle, the woman seated in the passenger’s seat began to argue with the officer. When conducting a field sobriety test with the driver, the woman got out of the car and began yelling obscenities to the officer. 

Criminal Damage to Property

A woman reported that someone threw a brick through the window of her Oak Avenue residence Feb. 20. Upon arrival, the officer noticed shattered glass and a brick on the living room floor. 

Theft by Deception

A woman reported the theft of her prescription Feb. 19. After leaving the doctor’s office, the woman was approached by another female from the waiting room of the doctor’s office. She informed the woman that the office manager needed to make a change to her prescription and she offered to take it back for her. After returning with the prescriptions, the woman noticed that her prescription for Percocet was missing.
