MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Disorderly Conduct

A restaurant owner of a Roberson Mill Road establishment reported two females in a verbal alteration around 8:45 p.m. Sept. 29. When the women reached the parking lot of the restaurant the altercation turned physical.  

— Theft by Taking

A woman at a South Elbert Street restaurant was reported taking a pack of frozen tilapia from behind a dumpster on the property Sept. 30 sometime after 5 p.m.

— Burglary

A woman reported a break-in at her North Jefferson Street address and the theft of her jewelry and iPad sometime before 6 p.m. Sept. 29.

— Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported a man left the store without paying for a microwave Sept. 30 around 7:19 p.m. He also left the building with a shopping bag that contained a Band-Aid clear strip, Doublemint gum, and a twin pack of Dark Temptation Axe.

— Theft by Taking

A man reported that someone stole the battery out of his work vehicle from a parking lot on Roberson Mill Road sometime before 6 p.m. Oct. 1.

— Counterfeit

A woman reported a fake $5 bill at a South Wayne Street bank around 11 a.m. Oct. 1.

— Financial Identity Fraud

A woman reported that someone at an Oconee Street address had received electric service from Georgia Power in her name.

— Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported a man took various merchandise out of the packaging, hid the items in his pants and walked out of the store without paying around 4:45 p.m. Oct. 1.
