MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by taking

An employee of Baldwin County Water Department reported the theft of a water meter and unauthorized service at a Chandler Circle address.

While making rounds in the area, the employee noticed the meter was leaking severely due to improper installation. When calling the head office to verify the service, department officials discovered that the original meter was pulled in January and the unauthorized meter came from a Railroad Street address.

Burglary

A man at a Vinson Highway apartment reported a break-in and the theft of his TV and a can of beer sometime around Feb. 22. After coming home from work, the man noticed the living room window was broken, his bedroom torn apart and his TV missing. Upon further inspection, he also noticed that a can of beer was missing from the refrigerator.  

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of her Kindle Fire tablet from her Irwinton Road address at approximately 5 p.m. Feb. 24. The woman informed deputies that her daughter had two males at the residence prior to the theft of her tablet.
