MILLEDGEVILLE — Computer Trespass

A woman at an Old Monticello Road address reported the unauthorized use of her Facebook account by an unknown individual around 5:50 p.m. March 27. The hacker logged into her Facebook account and sent a link to everyone on her friend’s list that contained a computer virus.


Deputies were dispatched to a Roberts Road address at approximately 1:11 a.m. March 28 in reference to a theft of property call. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the owner of the property who reported the theft of two chainsaws from underneath his home.

Fraud-Financial Identity

A deputy was dispatched to a Thomas Street residence March 27 in reference to a call of identity theft. A man reported that while checking his bank account online, he noticed several charges were made to Verizon Wireless totaling $426.84. When contacting a representative from Verizon, he was told that an unknown person claiming to be him had purchased a phone and service in his name.


A man at a Highway 212 residence reported a break-in and the theft of his Samsung flatscreen TV, a Sony playstation with games, and an assortment of jewelry sometime between 10  p.m. and 4 a.m. March 29. Upon arrival, deputies discovered damage to the rear bedroom window.
