MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

Obstruction of Law Enforcement

Officers responded Oct. 1 to a tip that an individual with an outstanding arrest warrant was located on Colony Farm Road. When officers arrived they were informed that the individual was trying to flee. Officers chased the individual and he was arrested and served with a warrant for probation violation and charged with two counts of obstruction of law enforcement.

Officers responded Oct. 3 to a reference of a disturbance on South Jefferson Street. The individual in question had to be chased in order to be contacted and arrested. The individual was charged with criminal trespass, obstruction of law enforcement and also served with four active warrants at the time of the arrest.

False Report of a Crime

Officers were dispatched to a business on North Columbia Street Oct. 3 where an individual reported that her vehicle was stolen. Officers later verified that the vehicle had not been stolen but was in an accident. The complainant has an active warrant for false report of a crime.

Criminal Trespass

A vehicle was reported Sept. 30 as intentionally scratched while parked on Holly Hill Road.

A woman reported Oct. 2 that an individual broke the window on her vehicle and proceeded to follow her and harass her, punching her in the face.

Officers spoke to an individual Oct. 4 who kept attempting to enter the BHS football game without paying. The individual left but returned on several occasions to try and enter the game.



Milledgeville Police Department

Criminal Trespass

 An individual was reported Oct. 7 sleeping in the restroom of Central City Park. He had previously been trespassed from the park in January and was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.

An owner of a vehicle parked on Karen Circle reported that his two rear tires had been cut.

Theft by Taking

Three males were seen stealing two gas powered generators Oct. 8 from Walmart. The generators are valued at $699 each.

Employees of a North Columbia Street auto dealership reported Oct. 8 the theft of a vehicle.

Criminal Damage to Property

Sacred Heart Catholic officers reported that a tree and a statue were broken between sometime between Oct. 6 and Oct. 7.

Entering Auto

Two iPhone 5s were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on North Wilkinson Street Oct. 6.

Entering Auto

A woman reported that her backpack was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at the Greenway. The backpack contained books, a binder and a blank check.
