MILLEDGEVILLE —  Fraud-Financial Identity

A woman reported the unauthorized use of five checks on both her personal and closed business account. On Sept. 23, the complainant received a message from personnel at the bank that stated approximately five checks had been written or approved on her personal and closed business account at the bank. One of the checks was cashed in Eastman.

Theft by Taking

A man at an Old Monticello Road address reported the theft of tools from his property sometime before Sept. 24. He stated that while working on a chainsaw on his front porch on Sept. 21, he left an assortment of small hand tools outside and went inside for the evening. When he returned to finish working the morning of Sept. 22, he discovered that the tools were missing.

Entering Auto

A deputy was dispatched to a Mount Pleasant Church Road residence at approximately 6:54 a.m. Sept. 24 in reference to an entering auto call. The complainant stated that when he approached his vehicle to leave home for work, he noticed that the driver’s side door was partially opened. Upon further inspection, he discovered that someone ransacked the center console and took his 9mm handgun.
