Burglary

A man reported a break-in at a Union Hill Church Road church around 10:09 a.m. April 21. The man told deputies that when he arrived at the church to open it up for Sunday school services, his son noticed that the back door to the building was unlocked. A set of speakers and all of the sound equipment from the church was reported missing.

Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary

Deputies were dispatched to a Colony Farm Road address April 18 in reference to a report of an attempt to commit burglary at the residence. The property owner informed officers that when she went to go check on her property, she noticed the back door was open and pry marks on the door frame. No items were reported missing from the residence.

Milledgeville Police Department

Entering Auto

Officers were dispatched to a Tanglewood Rd. residence April 17 in reference to the theft of a woman’s purse from her vehicle. Around 7:30 a.m. the woman noticed that she was locked out of her checking account. She later found out that her checking card, which was one of the contents in her stolen purse, was used multiple times at Walmart.

Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported the theft of two video games by a male April 18. The man was seen taking the Playstation 3 games and concealing them in his pants. He was stopped once he tried to leave the last point of sales in the store.
