MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart Loss Prevention employee reported the theft of miscellaneous clothing by a female around 1:04 p.m. April 10. The woman concealed the clothing in her purse and tried to leave the store without paying for the items.

Disorderly Conduct

On April 5, while conducting crowd control in front of a South Wayne Street bar, an officer observed a patron exiting the bar and engaged in a physical altercation with the bar general manager. When attempting to restrain the man, he continued to raise his arms and pull away from the officer.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of her wallet from a classroom at API on North Columbia Street April 3. When leaving the classroom at the end of class, the woman noticed that her wallet was missing from her desk.

Fraud-Impersonation

A woman reported that someone charged an iPhone 5 plus accessories to her Verizon Wireless phone account. She informed officers that the unknown person was able to verify her social security number on her account. She was advised by a Verizon Wireless representative to file a report and contact the Social Security Administration.

Simple Battery

Officers were dispatched to a South Wayne Street bar April 4 in reference to a call of unwanted people outside of the establishment. Upon arrival, officers observed two groups of people yelling and cursing at one another. One man informed law enforcement that his friend was just jumped by someone in the bar. The officers found two males standing on the sidewalk with busted noses.
