MILLEDGEVILLE — Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

Fraud-Financial Identity

A woman reported that someone filed 2012 and 2013 tax returns in her name. She informed deputies that her wallet, which contained her driver’s licenses and social security card, was stolen in Macon sometime in 2007.

On July 18, while on duty, a deputy walked into a local body shop to seek repair on his patrol vehicle when he noticed a man standing at the counter who seemed unsteady on his feet. When the man walked past the deputy, he could detect a strong odor of alcohol coming from the subject. The man got into his vehicle and pulled out onto Hammock Road heading toward Fieldstone Drive. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and administered a roadside Alco-sensor test.

Criminal Damage to Property

A man at a Selma Drive residence reported damage to a window by an unknown person around 9:32 p.m. July 21. According to the complainant, he was in the back of the residence in his bedroom when he heard the sound of glass breaking. His cousin, who lives with him, advised him that something hit the window and caused it to break.
