MILLEDGEVILLE — Simple Battery

A woman reported being assaulted at the Early Learning Center while dropping off her son at approximately 7:30 a.m. March 26. The woman told deputies that after she dropped her son off she got into a verbal altercation with a man in the parking lot, and he pushed her against the vehicle.

 Possession of Marijuana

While conducting a license check at the intersection of Allen Memorial Drive and Ivey Drive, a deputy arrested a man for possession of marijuana possession less than 1 ounce on March 23. The officer noticed a green leafy substance on the center console and a strong odor coming from the car.

Criminal Damage to Property

Deputies were dispatched to a Youngblood Road address in reference to a prowler call March 23. Upon arrival, the owner of the residence informed officers that her ex-boyfriend had been banging on her front door wanting to come inside. His constant banging broke the window on the door.

Theft by Shoplifting

An employee of an Irwinton Road store reported the theft of a bag of cheese puffs, four cans of Vienna sausages and several Milky Way bars by a man around 7:10 p.m. March 26. The man tried to place the items underneath his hooded sweater and leave the store without paying for the merchandise.

Theft by Taking

Deputies were dispatched to a Georgia Highway 49 business in reference to the theft of a new utility trailer. On March 25 around 4 p.m. a man reported that a utility trailer that he kept in the backyard of the business was missing. He asked his employees if they had taken the trailer for a daily run of equipment but everyone in the office said no.
