MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Theft by Taking


Deputies were dispatched to a Kings Road address May 19 in reference to a stolen vehicle. The complainant said that his father had recently passed away, and his vehicle was parked in the front yard of his home ever since May 15. When he went to retrieve the car on May 19 the vehicle was gone.

Criminal Damage to Property

Deputies were dispatched to an Allen Memorial Drive address May 16 in reference to a call of damage to property. Upon arrival, they spoke with the property owner who told officers that she came outside and noticed damage to her vehicle. Deputies observed a dent in the back left quarter panel of the car. The woman said she believed her husband was responsible for the damage. Earlier the same day, the man came to the woman’s house to discuss her filing for divorce. He began beating on the windows of the house but the woman did not go to the door.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of a silver coin and two silver certificates from her North Columbia Street residence and business around 3:30 p.m. May 17. While moving some things around she noticed that some porcelain eggs had been moved around on the dresser. Upon further investigation, she discovered that a silver coin and two silver certificates that were inside the eggs were missing.
