MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported the theft of food items by a male and female April 29. There was video footage of the man and woman concealing food items in the man’s coat. The couple placed five packages of lobster tails, four bags of meatballs and four packages of crab legs into the man’s coat and attempted to leave the store without paying.

Theft by Shoplifting

A man and woman were seen taking merchandise from a Milledgeville Mall clothing store at approximately 2:31 p.m. April 30. The two placed 14 items of clothing and a pair of shoes into bags and exited the store without paying.

Burglary

An employee of a South Wilkinson Street thrift shop reported a break-in at the business April 30. Upon opening the store around 9:11 a.m. the man discovered that the front door of the building was left unlocked. A Toshiba laptop and $30 in cash from the cash register were reported missing.

Entering Auto

Officers were dispatched to a Dunlap Road address April 30 in reference to a theft. The owner of the vehicle told officers that while he was visiting family, someone took a 9mm semi-automatic weapon.

Criminal Trespass

An employee of a South Wayne Street store reported the attempted theft of a $10 Trac Phone by a male April 30. The woman stopped the man in the parking lot and retrieved the stolen merchandise. She did not want to press charges but requested that the man be trespassed from the store property.
