MILLEDGEVILLE — Criminal Trespass

An officer was dispatched to a West Andrews Street grocery store Aug. 5 in reference to an unwanted person on the property. Upon arrival the officer met with the store employee who stated that a woman was inside attempting to damage store property. The woman emptied her purse on one of the tables inside the store. When she was told to remove her personal items, she became upset and starting knocking items off of the shelves.

Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported the theft of store items by a man Aug. 13. The employee stated that he noticed two males select a survivor phone case from the electronics department and walk to the sporting goods area. One man was seen removing the case from its package and attempting to conceal it in his pocket.

Simple Battery

While monitoring the downtown area at approximately 2:14 a.m. Aug. 14, a police officer was standing by a man who stated that an intoxicated man assaulted him. According to the complainant, the man approached him at West Hancock and South Wilkinson Street, grabbed him, pushed him to the ground and stated “Welcome to Milledgeville, freshman.”
