MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Taking

A woman at an Allen Memorial Drive address reported that someone took her mail from her mailbox Aug. 12. She stated that she checked the mailbox upon coming home and discovered that two pieces of mail that were there earlier in the day were missing. She also found three halves of opened envelopes on the ground next to the mailbox. The opened envelopes were empty.

Theft by Taking

Deputies were dispatched to a Stuart Circle address Aug. 13 in reference to stolen mail. The complainant informed the deputies that someone has been taken her mail from her mailbox periodically for about a week. She said that she believes the neighbor’s children might be doing it.

Criminal Trespass

The lease manager of a North Columbia Street apartment complex reported damage to the side of the building by an unknown person. According to the lease manager, an unknown person entered onto the property sometime between Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 and wrote a homemade poster stating an offensive remark toward the lease manager.  

Burglary

Deputies were dispatched to a Linton Road residence in reference to a burglary. The owner of the residence stated that she and her sister fell asleep on the sofa the night of Aug. 12. When she awoke at approximately 8:30 a.m. to take her medicine, she discovered that her bedroom window was open and the blinds were lying on the ground outside. Ten $20 bills attached to a money clip were reported missing.
