MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

Theft by Conversion

A business owner reported Dec. 23 that she believes an employee has been pocketing cash given to her for the purposes of refueling a company vehicle.

Entering Auto

A vehicle owner reported Dec. 25 that someone had been seen inside her car while it was parked on Grandview Drive.

Driving While License Suspended

An individual was arrested Dec. 26 for driving while license suspended after a conversation with an officer in which his driver’s license was requested.

Theft by Shoplifting

A business on North Columbia Street reported Dec. 26 that an individual stole a pack of detergent gel caps along with other unknown items.

Terroristic Threats

An individual was trespassed from a business on North Columbia Street Dec. 27 after he caused a disturbance, threatened another individual and threw a pair of gardening sheers at him. The individual was arrested and charged with simple assault and terroristic threats.

Theft by Shoplifting

An individual had a state warrant obtained in his name for felony theft by shoplifting after he was seen on videotape attempting to leave a store on North Columbia Street Dec. 27 without paying for merchandise.

Terroristic Threats

Two individuals involved in a verbal altercation at a North Columbia Street business reported Dec. 27 that the other person had threatened them and used racial slurs.

Theft by Shoplifting

An individual was arrested Dec. 27 and charged with shoplifting after she was seen attempting to conceal infant clothing valued at $31.94 in her purse. It was determined that the individual had two outstanding warrants through Columbia and Laurens County, but she was not extradited because she is nine months pregnant.
