A woman reported a break-in at her Grandview Dr. apartment Aug. 1.  She informed the officer that someone broke into her residence while she was at work and stole her Samsung Galaxy Tablet and approximately $5 worth of change that she kept inside a piggy bank.

Fraud-Financial Identity

A woman reported that she was approached by her employer who informed her that he received a writ of garnishment that would require him to garnish her paycheck for the sum of $594.34. The writ of garnishment was from Bank of America. The woman reported not having an account with Bank of America and that the request for garnishment was unauthorized.

Theft by Taking

Officers were dispatched to a Sherry Circle residence Aug. 2 in reference to the theft of a handgun.  The complainant stated that he was uncertain as to the whereabouts of his handgun and that he already searched his vehicle.

Theft by Shoplifting

A Wal-Mart loss prevention employee reported the theft of sunglasses by a male Aug. 2. The man was seen taking a pair of sunglasses out of its package and attempting to leave the store without paying for them.
