MILLEDGEVILLE —  Fraud-financial identity

A woman at a Highway 212 address reported that she received a letter from the Internal Revenue Service April 19 informing her that a separate transaction had been filed for her daughter on another person’s taxes. The woman informed both the IRS and law enforcement that she was her daughter’s legal guardian and was the only person that was allowed to claim her on income taxes.

Entering auto

Deputies were dispatched to the area of Stevens Drive April 17 in reference to a call of an unknown person breaking into a vehicle. The owner of the car informed officers that she noticed an individual in her car, going through her purse. She attempted to lock the man in the vehicle with her wireless key remote, but the man saw her looking through the window of the residence, and he ran away.

Dogs at-large

A woman reported that six of her neighbor’s dogs were out of the fence and running throughout the neighborhood terrorizing people and causing damage to property April 20.  When deputies arrived to the Wright Street location, they observed the dogs running along the roadway and in the backyard of several homes.
