Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office
A woman reported a break-in at a Salem Church Roach church sometime between 7:10 p.m. June 2 and 6:09 p.m. June 6. The woman told deputies she discovered damage to the rear window of the church. Two Peavey tower speakers, a Peavey amplifier, an audio monitor, a microphone stand, two microphones, two audio cables, and a CD player were reported missing from the church.
Deputies were dispatched to a Discher Circle address June 5 in reference to a report of criminal trespass. The property owner informed officers that he has had constant problems with his neighbor trespassing on his yard. He first noticed his neighbor in his yard with a can of spray paint, marking the property line and placing white flags along the perimeter. Deputies viewed the surveillance footage from security cameras that were placed at various locations in the man’s yard and saw his neighbor walking along the edge of the property, waving at the camera.
Deputies were dispatched to a South Main Street address June 5 in reference to a burglary. The complainant told officers that upon his arrival, he noticed a broken window and missing items. A weed eater and blower were reported missing from the backyard. Numerous clothes were thrown around in the drawers and the house was ransacked.
Milledgeville Police Department
A woman at a Papa John’s Road apartment reported a break-in June 8. She told officers that when she returned home after visiting with friends, she found her patio door open. Several items in the apartment were thrown around. Thirty dollars in cash was reported missing.
Officers were dispatched to a Ross Avenue location at approximately 10 p.m. June 9 in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who informed them that she noticed several electronics missing from her home. A Playstation 3 game console along with 10 games, a Hewlett Packard laptop computer and a Gateway laptop was reported missing from the residence.
Theft by Taking
Officers were dispatched to a North Columbia Street hotel June 9 in reference to the theft of several items from a hotel room. Upon arrival, officers met with the manager of the hotel who informed them that the person staying in Room 306 stole two blankets and five pillows. A husband and wife checked out of the room the morning of June 9. When the housekeeper went to clean the room, she reported the stolen items to the manager.
