MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by taking

A woman reported the theft of her son’s Playstation 3 gaming system June 21 from her West Montgomery Street residence. She stated that when she returned home her son noticed that the console was missing. After a search of the residence, the woman did not find any other items missing.

Fraud/bad check

A teller at a West Hancock Street bank reported that a man and a woman attempted to cash a stolen check at approximately 2:58 p.m. June 21. The fraudulent check was written on a closed account.

n Driving under the influence

Officers were dispatched to a Barrows Ferry Road location June 22 in reference to a call that a vehicle was stuck in a ditch. Upon arrival, officers observed a man, later identified as the driver, walking southbound drinking a Bud Light. After administering a roadside Intoxilyzer, the man was arrested for DUI transported to the detention center.

Burglary

A woman at a Lake Drive apartment reported a break-in June 23 and the theft of her appliances. The woman is in the process of moving to a new location and when she went to the apartment to retrieve some items, she noticed that her washer and dryer were missing. She also told officers that she knew someone had been in the residence because she found a Bud Light beer can sitting in one of the windows.
