MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

Theft by Taking

An individual reported Feb. 19 that while in a North Columbia Street business a woman approached her and took her purse.

Entering Auto

A woman reported Feb. 19 that while her vehicle was parked on Moore Street someone entered it and stole her purse.

Driving Under the Influence

Two individuals were arrested and a third cited Feb. 19 following a crash at the intersection of South Tattnall Street and West Franklin Street. The driver of one of the vehicles was charged with the following offenses: failure to stop at a stop sign, seatbelt violation, driving while unlicensed, reckless driving, furnishing alcohol to a person under 21, and DUI first offense. The second person arrested was charged with allowing an intoxicated person to drive. A third person was cited with underage possession of alcohol and a seatbelt violation.

Forgery

It was reported Feb. 20 that the title of a vehicle had been falsely pawned.
