MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Milledgeville Police Department


An individual was arrested Jan. 26 during a vehicle safety check after officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana. He was found to be in possession less than one ounce and was charged with such.


A man was arrested Jan. 27 during a vehicle safety check after officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. A joint was found in the vehicle and he admitted to trying to throw all of what he had been in possession of out the window when he saw the check point. He was charged with possession of less than one ounce.


A business reported Jan. 22 that a woman purchased $6,650 worth of appliances with fraudulent checks.

Criminal Damage to Property

An individual reported Jan. 22 that profane language, other words and random scratches were carved into his vehicle while it was parked at a North Columbia Street business.


A bank reported Jan. 23 that a counterfeit $20 bill was deposited.

Terroristic Threats

A woman reported that on her first day as an apartment manager Jan. 22 she was threatened by a man with a gun.

Theft by Shoplifting

A North Columbia Street business reported Jan. 23 that two individuals attempted to leave without paying for merchandise. The food items were valued at $705.71 and both people were charged with theft by shoplifting felony and trespassed from the business.
