The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. Milledgeville Police Department
Theft by Taking
A man reported Jan. 26 that someone stole his jacket off the back of a chair at a downtown business. His jacket held both his house and car keys.
Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement
Officers approached a man matching the description in an anonymous tip Jan. 26 after he was seen walking down the middle of a road. When officers first saw him he was swaying side to side while walking. When they spoke with him they could smell alcohol. The individual admitted to being underage, and when officers attempted to arrest him he resisted and became disruptive. He pulled away from the officers and fled. He had to be tackled and physically restrained to be arrested. He was charged with underage possession; obstruction of officers, three counts; public drunkenness; and disorderly conduct.
Driving Under the Influence
An individual was arrested and charged with DUI, speeding and failure to maintain lane after officers pulled him over for driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone Jan. 26.
Theft by Taking
A homeowner reported Jan. 26 that someone had taken a pill bottle and cigarettes from her home.
A car owner reported Jan. 26 that someone had thrown a rock through her rear driver’s side window.
A woman reported Jan. 26 that another individual was threatening her and her unborn child.
A man was arrested Jan. 26 after attempting to cash a stolen check.
