The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.


Milledgeville Police Department

Theft by Shoplifting

Two individuals set off the theft sensors at a South Wayne Street business and fled the scene Jan. 4.


An individual reported Jan. 4 that checks valued at $900 had been stolen from inside his home.

Theft by Shoplifting

A North Columbia Street business reported that three individuals stole merchandise from the lawn and garden department Jan. 5.


A resident of North Jackson Street reported Jan. 5 that a window at her home had been broken and that a television had been stolen.

Theft of Mislaid Property

A woman reported Jan. 5 that she accidentally left her wallet and several items at a business on North Columbia Street. When she returned to collect the items they were missing.

Theft by Conversion

A woman reported Jan. 5 that her daughter’s cellphone had been taken, but that the phone had been located and the people in possession of the phone contacted. The woman was promised that the phone would be returned and that the $410.58 bill would be paid.
