MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Damage to Property
A man at a Lilac Court address reported damage to several vehicles that he has located at his home sometime before June 23. He informed the deputy that he has many vehicles parked on his property. Upon checking, he noticed that five of the cars have been damaged. The deputy observed damage to several windshields and windows of the vehicles that appeared to be caused by rocks or being shot with a BB gun.
Theft by Taking
A deputy was dispatched to a North Columbia Street address June 26 in reference to a theft. The victim informed the deputy that he evicted his previous tenants from the location on June 19. When he went to the property to check it he discovered several items were stolen. A microwave, two wooden end tables, miscellaneous pots and pans, two mini blinds and six burgundy curtain panels were reported missing from the home.
Milledgeville Police Department
An officer was dispatched to a Dundee Drive recycling facility June 24 in reference to a theft that had occurred. The owner told the officer that someone stole some scrap metal from the property and damaged the side of the building. It appeared as if the person or persons tried to use the forklift, but ran it into the side of the building, causing damage to the metal siding.
Theft by Shoplifting
On June 25, a manager of an East Hancock Street convenience store reported the theft of merchandise by a store employee. He informed the officer that while viewing store surveillance, he noticed one of his clerks taking a pack of Newport cigarettes and going outside to smoke them.
