MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.
Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office
Deputies were dispatched to a fight at a residence on Lee Street June 17 involving several females. Upon arrival, the deputies observed at least three females with scratches around the chest area. The owner of the residence told deputies that she was sitting on her porch when the other females started calling her names. An argument ensued that quickly escalated to a physical altercation.
Criminal Damage to Property
A man reported damage to his vehicle occurring sometime before June 16. According to the victim, when he went into the kitchen of his residence, he looked out the door and noticed that his green Honda Accord had vulgar language scratched in it. The deputy observed scratches throughout the vehicle on the outside including a derogatory name spelled on the trunk.
Theft by Shoplifting
A store manager reported the theft of merchandise by a man occurring June 15 around 4:49 p.m. She told the deputy that she observed the man putting two three-packs of Dial soap in the pocket of his cargo pants. When she asked the man to return the merchandise, he refused and walked out of the store.
Theft by Taking
A man reported the theft of his truck battery from a Gordon Highway address June 20. The man told the deputy he purchased the battery for his 1991 Ford F-150 June 19. The next day when he went to install the battery, he discovered that it was missing.
