Theft by Taking
On May 19 at about 8:30 p.m. a woman reported the possible theft of jewelry occurring at an Irwinton Road department store. She told the deputy while visiting her sisters at their Gerrell Drive residence, she allowed one of them to borrow her car while she stayed home to help prepare dinner. She added that a diamond ring that she keeps on her key ring was missing when her sister returned with the car. When questioned about the whereabouts of the ring, the relative commented that she had no idea where it could be and that it could have possibly fallen off while she was shopping. Upon checking video surveillance from the store, the ring was not seen nor did it show the sister removing the ring from the key chain.
