MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Criminal Damage to Property
Deputies were dispatched to a Roberson Mill Road address July 14 in reference to damage to a vehicle. The owner told deputies that individuals who walk along the railroad tracks near his property continually throw rocks and break the windows of his 1998 Chevrolet.
While patrolling the area of North Columbia Street July 12, a deputy observed a black 1996 Ford Bronco failing to maintain its lane of travel. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the deputy detected the smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle. After administering a field sobriety test, the man was arrested and issued a citation for driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to maintain lane.
A deputy was dispatched to a Mount Pleasant Church Road address July 11. The complainant told the deputy that he was in his shed when he heard gunshots. After the shots, he heard multiple pellets hitting the top of his shed and his truck. Upon questioning neighbors, the deputy discovered that a neighbor close by admitted to shooting to scare a dog away.
Milledgeville Police Department
Officers reported to a North Columbia Street hotel July 12 in reference to an assault. Upon arrival they spoke with hotel staff that said a group of people got into an argument with the hotel owner and one of them cut him on the hand with a sharp object. Staff who witnessed the assault said the men left in an older model yellow and black box styled car.
