MILLEDGEVILLE — nd

The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

The store manager told the deputy that a customer reported seeing a woman placing items from the store in her purse. A can of air freshener, a tube of lipstick, Twix candy bites, a pack of Nekot cookies, feminine wipes, and a container of vanilla pudding were retrieved from the woman's purse.

Fraud-financial identity

On May 5 a woman called the sheriff's office to report an incident of fraud. She told law enforcement officials that three months ago she received a letter in the mail from a finance company informing her that she was delinquent on a Care credit card account in the amount of $3,300. She contacted the company and told them she never opened an account with the company. A representative said the account would be canceled but advised her to file a report in order for the delinquency not to be reported to credit bureau.
