MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office
Deputies were dispatched to a Gordon Highway address at approximately 4:03 p.m. April 29 in reference to a burglary. A man told deputies that when he went to check on the property for a friend who owned it he noticed that the tool shed door was open and the lock had been cut off. The back door entrance to the workshop was also kicked in. A five horse boat motor, two tables and several tools were reported missing from the property.

n Theft by Shoplifting
On May 4 at about 2:40 p.m. while on patrol in the area of East Hancock Street, an officer received a call in regards to a theft occurring at a North Jefferson Street convenience store. A witness reported seeing a man wearing a yellow shirt take a 12-pack of Michelob Light beer from the store and leave without paying. A Baldwin County Sheriff's Office deputy saw the man running down North Jefferson Street south of McIntosh Street and reported it to police. The man admitted to taking the beer and was cited for shoplifting.
n Theft by Taking
On May 3 around 11:03 a.m. police reported to a church on South Liberty Street in reference to theft of lawn care equipment. A man told officers that someone stole his Redmax brand backpack-style leaf blower from the back of his truck while he was on the other side of the church cutting grass.
