Crime Digest

A man at a Lockwood Street address reported the theft of three Newport cigarettes and a .38-caliber revolver sometime between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. April 11. When returning home, he discovered that someone had kicked in his front door and removed the items from his home.

Nuisance Animal

Deputies were dispatched to a Wright Street address in reference to a dog fight April 13. Upon arrival the owner of one of the dogs informed officers that her neighbor’s dog came into her fence and attacked her dog. Deputies were able to see several fresh wounds on the dog and a few scratches on the neighbor’s pitbull.

Criminal Damage to Property

A man reported that at approximately 6 a.m. April 9, he noticed that someone had attempted to take the screen of the side of his Old Monticello Road residence. In the process of taking the screen off of the house, the screen was damaged.


Deputies were dispatched to a Little Road address at approximately 10 p.m. in reference to a burglary. The owner of the residence informed officers that the front door to his home appeared to have been forced open. Upon further inspection he noticed that someone attempted to remove a large flat screen television from the residence, but because of the size of the equipment was unsuccessful. The television was found laying by the back door of the residence.
