MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported the theft of two pair of sunglasses by a man around 5:03 p.m. March 22. The man was seen picking up the sunglasses and concealing them in his jacket pocket.             


Officers were dispatched to a North Columbia Street address in reference to a burglary. The owner of the residence informed officers that the morning of March 25, he noticed the door open to his room and an unknown man standing in the doorway. No items were reported missing from the home.

Criminal trespass

At approximately 2:03 a.m. March 25 officers were dispatched to a West Washington Street address in reference to a criminal trespass complaint. A woman reported that she woke up to a loud noise outside of her home. Upon inspection, she saw two unknown males outside with a flashlight. The two men were talking loudly and kicking a door on the west side of the house next door to hers.

Theft by taking

A woman reported the theft of her iPad from a North Columbia Street hotel March 24. She told officers that she was in the middle of charging her iPad when a fight broke out, and she attempted to separate the two individuals involved in the altercation. When she returned to her hotel room, her iPad was missing.
