MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Theft by Deception

Police were contacted Jan. 6 in reference to a vehicle that had its title pawned and was due to be surrendered because of failure to pay. The title company was unable to locate the vehicle.

Theft by Taking

An individual informed police his vehicle was stolen from his home on Avery Store Road Jan. 6.

Criminal Damage to Property

Officers responded to a home on Wolverine Street Jan. 6. They observed a broken screen door that appeared to have been kicked in.

Criminal Trespass

A vehicle owner reported there was a hole in his driver's side door just below its handle Jan. 6.

Nuisance Animal

An individual reported Jan. 6 that loose dogs had run through his property on Highway 212 and killed eight of his chickens, wounding four others.

Damage to Property

A business on Irwinton Road reported that its outdoor ice box had been damaged Jan. 7.


An individual was arrested Jan. 9 after he was seen loitering at an apartment complex and appearing to be intoxicated. He admitted to being drunk and was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was charged with public drunkenness, loitering and possession of marijuana less than announce.

Theft by Taking

A man reported Jan. 12 that a go-cart was stolen from inside his garage on Hodges Lakes Road.


A Colony Farm Road property owner reported Jan. 12 that all the electrical wiring underneath the property had been cut.
