MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

— Burglary

A man reported a break-in at his Doles Boulevard residence Oct. 13 around 2:26 a.m. A Sony Xbox 360, an Xbox controller and $100 in change were reported missing from the home.   

— Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of her son’s iPod at a Highway 49 West residence around 4 p.m. Oct. 12.  

— Disorderly Conduct

A store clerk reported that another man caused a disturbance over a lottery ticket at an East Hancock Street convenience store around 1:35 a.m. Oct. 12.

— Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart employee reported the theft of merchandise by two females around 8:17 p.m. Oct. 12. The women had two plastic shopping bags containing various make-up items, bras and lingerie.

— Theft by Taking Auto

A man reported the theft of his truck from a North Wilkinson Street address sometime during the night of Oct. 13.

— Theft by Shoplifting

An employee of a South Wayne Street grocery store reported the theft of several packs of meat and other items by a man around 4 p.m. Oct. 12. The man had packs of meat and other merchandise from the store stuffed down his pants.

— Criminal Damage to Property

A woman at a Village Lane apartment complex reported that a man broke her computer and cracked the screen of her iPod around 10:28 p.m. Oct. 13.

— Theft by Taking

The owner of a business located on Heritage Road reported the theft of car batteries from his establishment sometime between Oct. 12 and 14.

— Theft by Taking

A woman reported that a house guest likely took several pieces of jewelry from her during her stay at her Highway 49 address between Oct. 12 and 14.

— Public Drunk

A police officer responded to a call of a female passed out behind her vehicle located at East Hancock Street Oct. 13. After waking the woman, she became defiant with the officer, refusing any additional help to stand or walk. She was charged with public intoxication.
