The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. Damage to Property
A man at a Lowe Road residence reported damage to his mailbox and newspaper mailbox sometime before 12:30 a.m. May 28. He told the deputy that he found the mailboxes damaged in his driveway when he returned home from work. The deputy noticed there was approximately 30 ft. of tire marks in the grass where the mailboxes were struck.
A man and juvenile reported an assault occurring May 26 at an Ogden Place address. They told the deputy that a man tried to cut them with a knife after being questioned about a missing cell phone. After walking down the street to calm down, the man came back into the house and started waving a knife around. The deputy was able to calm the man down and retrieve the knife. No one was harmed during the incident.
Milledgeville Police Department
An employee of a North Columbia Street fast food restaurant reported a possible attempt to break into the business May 28. She informed the officer that when she arrived to work she noticed that it appeared as if someone had tried to pry open the front and back doors. They also tried to open the drive-thru window. The officer observed scratch marks along the front door near the lock area. No items were reported missing from the restaurant.
Criminal Damage to Property
Police reported to a West Walton Street residence June 4 in reference to damage to property. The man told officers that while he was moving furniture into his new residence a juvenile wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans threw bricks at his dresser mirror and television. The officers noticed several scratches on the screen of the television and the mirror on the dresser was shattered.
