MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Taking

A store manager of a North Columbia Street retail store reported the theft of propane tanks sometime between the closing of the store on Sept. 18 and when it opened for business on the morning of Sept. 19. According to the complainant, upon opening the store she discovered that an unknown person had cut the expanded metal on the north side of the store’s Amerigas Propane tank storage cage and took two 15-pound propane tanks.

Entering Auto

Deputies responded to a call at a Mount Pleasant Church Road Sept. 24 in reference to an entering auto that occurred. Upon arrival they met with the complainant who stated that someone entered into three vehicles located on her property. Early that morning, the woman heard a loud banging sound outside in the garage. Upon inspection, she discovered the garage door was open and the passenger’s side door to one of her cars was open. Upon further inspection, she noticed that her other two vehicles had been entered into as well. No items were reported missing.

Nuisance Animal

Deputies were dispatched to a Nealys Way address in reference to a nuisance animal. A woman reported being chased by her neighbor's dog when she returned home with her kids around 9:36 a.m. Sept. 24. The complainant said that as soon as she saw the dog approaching the property, she locked her children in the car and ran inside her residence to call animal control. The owner of the dog stated that the animal is usually chained in the back yard, but somehow broke loose from the chain.
