Burglary

On Sept. 23 a resident of Stewart Drive reported a burglary where several rooms had been ransacked. The homeowner reported that it did not appear as if anything had been stolen or was missing.

Driving While Unlicensed

During a traffic stop on South Wayne Street an individual admitted to driving without a license when approached by an officer. The driver was placed under arrest and the vehicle was turned over to the individual's girlfriend.



Milledgeville Police Department

Entering Auto

An officer responded to an entering auto call at a Mill Way apartment Sept. 23. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant who stated that he discovered that his firearm was missing from the door pocket of his vehicle. He also reported that the magazine for the weapon was also missing.

Criminal Damage to Property

Officers were dispatched to a motel on North Columbia Street at approximately 11:22 p.m. Sept. 21 in reference to criminal damage to property. Upon arrival the officers met with one of the guests of the motel who stated that he was in his room when he heard a loud banging noise from outside. When he looked outside to investigate, he noticed a female kicking his vehicle and standing on the hood. The officers observed dents to the rear trunk, door, and gas tank along with muddy footprints on the hood.

Theft by Taking

The manager of a North Columbia Street motel reported the theft of several items from one of the rooms by a guest sometime before Sept. 24. Upon checking the room after the last know occupants left, the manager discovered that the room had been stripped of all material placed in the room for the customer. The bedding, pillows, towels, face towels, hangers, coffee pot and ice trays were reported missing.
