MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.
Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office
A deputy was dispatched to a Lawrence Road address Sept. 20 in reference to an entering auto. The complainant stated that his car was parked at the location while he was on duty. Around 6 p.m. he noticed the center console and glove compartment were opened. A .40-caliber handgun and a HP mini netbook were reported missing from the vehicle.
Criminal Damage to Property
A man at a Third Street address reported damage to his vehicle around 1:45 a.m. Sept. 21. He stated that around midnight, he heard the sound of glass breaking outside his house. Upon inspection, he observed the back window of his vehicle was broken. He also observed two unknown males running from his front yard.
Milledgeville Police Department
Officers were dispatched to the area of West Greene Street around 2:15 a.m. Sept. 22 to investigate a fight. Upon arrival, officers noticed several people involved in a physical altercation on the north side of West Greene Street. In an attempt to stop the fight, two females bumped into one of the officers as they continued to strike one another. Once pulled apart, they were handcuffed and charged with disorderly conduct.
Theft by Taking
A woman reported the theft of her bicycle from her West Greene Street residence sometime during Sept. 21. On Sept. 19 at approximately 11 p.m. the woman placed her Schwinn mountain bicycle on her porch along. When she went to check on it the following Saturday, she discovered that it was missing.
