MILLEDGEVILLE — Affray

Deputies were dispatched to ORMC in reference to an assault that took place March 31 at approximately 7:28 p.m. The victim stated that he had a verbal altercation with another man at a convenience store earlier in the afternoon. After the altercation, he went to his girlfriend’s residence on Fifth Street and was blocked in by the man’s vehicle. The man picked up a rock and threw it at the victim.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of her son’s Playstation 3 around 5:23 p.m. March 30. The juvenile told deputies that he had four friends at his house earlier before the game system went missing.

Theft by Taking

A man reported the theft of his vehicle from a Belfair Drive address April 2. At approximately 1 a.m. the man woke up and found that his car was gone. The man believed he left the keys in the vehicle earlier in the day when he returned home.

Public Nuisance Animal

Deputies were dispatched to a Mt. Pleasant Church Road address March 30 in reference to a complaint of a dog being shot to death. The owner of the dog stated that she let her bulldog go outside to use the bathroom and shortly after she heard two gunshots from her neighbor’s property. The neighbor informed police that he fired a warning shot at the dog after it went into his barn and scared his horses. After the warning shot, the dog charged after him and he shot it.  

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of several items from her Misenhiemer Road address over the course of a month. At different times throughout the month of March, the woman discovered items including her gold ring with diamonds, a gold rope chain necklace, and a Nikon camera with lens missing from the residence. Burglary

Deputies were dispatched to a Lilac Drive residence in reference to a prowler outside the residence April 3. Upon arrival, officers discovered damage to the front living room window. The owner of the residence reported that someone knocked on the front door, rang the doorbell, and shined a light through the living room window of the home. After no one answered, the unknown person popped open a window and entered the home. When deputies arrived, the prowler was not in the area.
