MILLEDGEVILLE — Burglary

At approximately 7:14 p.m. June 25, officers met with a man at a Heritage Road residence in reference to a possible intruder within the home. The man stated that the owner of the home is out of town for the summer and allowed him to store some of his things there. When he arrived to the residence to pick up some of his items, he noticed that the house was locked from the inside. He received permission from the owner to cut the screen of the rear door to unlatch the door. When he entered he discovered that the television in the living room was turned on and several items had been moved.

Entering Auto

A man reported that someone broke into his vehicle June 24 while it was parked at a West McIntosh Street location. When he came to his vehicle to go to work around 6 a.m. he noticed that someone had broken the back glass of his car. No items were reported missing from the vehicle.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of her bicycle from her West Charlton Street apartment sometime after 8 a.m. June 17. The woman stated that her roommate asked to borrow her bicycle lock, but when she went outside to retrieve it, she discovered that the bicycle was missing. The last time she saw the bicycle was the morning of June 17.

Criminal Damage to Property

Officers were dispatched to an Anthony Way apartment June 24 in reference to damage done to a woman’s vehicle. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who stated that after returning from her friend’s home she noticed the driver’s side of her vehicle was keyed.

Forgery

At approximately 8:13 a.m. June 21, a man at a North Columbia Street pharmacy reported a forged pharmacy prescription. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who said he filled a prescription for 30 Loritab pills that he did not believe was written by the doctor. The pharmacist also stated that the doctor’s handwriting on the prescription did not look like hers. When the doctor was called and questioned about the prescription, she said she did not write it. The woman was told to bring the pills back to the pharmacy. She brought back 29 of the Loritab pills.

Theft by Taking

An employee at a North Columbia Street rental business reported the theft of a 42-inch television June 21. The complainant stated that when he went to the back to retrieve merchandise from the store van he noticed that a LG 42-inch flat screen television was missing.

Damage to Property

On June 23 a woman at a Vinson Highway apartment reported damage done to the residence. The woman stated that when she came home the night before she noticed that the back glass next to the door had been broken. Officers observed that the window appeared to have been struck by a rock.
