MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident

A woman was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident Jan. 31 after she drove through a fence and into a ditch on Fox Hill Road. She left her vehicle and was later found in a resident's laundry room, sleeping. The homeowner did not press charges.

Criminal Trespass

A juvenile staying at home on Clay Pottery Road called the police after someone threw a brick through the window of his family's den. A black truck was seen speeding away from the scene. A storm window and wooden blinds were damaged.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported Jan. 23 that four chihuahuas she keeps at a residence on Nelson Road were stolen.

Criminal Trespass

A home owner on Harrisburg Road reported Jan. 27 that someone struck his home with a van and caused damage.

Criminal Damage to Property

A vehicle owner reported Jan. 27 that someone had damaged her car.

Criminal Damage to Property

A vehicle owner reported Jan. 27 that someone had damaged her car, the incident followed several altercations with two individuals.

Theft by Taking

A resident of Allen Memorial Drive reported Jan. 27 that someone had stolen $38 in cash from her purse while it was in her room.

An individual was trespassed from a residence after a homeowner reported that he was attempting to steal the metal siding from his property.

Theft by Taking

An individual reported Jan. 23 that two car batteries were stolen from his Lockwood Street residence.

Battery

A man called the police Jan. 25 after being involved in a conversation with two men who then attacked him and struck him in the face.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident

An individual was arrested Jan. 26 after he drove into a ditch and abandoned his vehicle. When he was located he was charged with driving while license suspended, leaving the scene of an accident, cited for having an open container in a vehicle, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to maintain lane.
