Theft by Taking

Deputies were dispatched to a Sportsman Trail residence July 28 in reference to a theft. Upon arrival they met with the owner who reported the theft of his toolbox from the back of his pickup truck. He stated that he remembered hearing a noise in his driveway during the night but when he went to go check it was too dark to see if anything was missing.

Burglary

Deputies were dispatched to a Cranford Drive address at approximately 10:49 p.m. July 26 in reference to a call of a burglary that took place. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the owner of the property who reported finding the front door was ajar when she returned home from shopping. Thirty dollars was reported missing from the woman’s dresser drawer.  

Theft of Taking

A woman reported that sometime between July 27 and July 28 she noticed that a person took a motor from her Ga. Highway 49 West auto salvage business. She stated that a man came in July 26 requesting a motor for a specific car. That next evening she noticed that a hole had been cut in the fence and the motor he was asking about earlier was missing.

Criminal Damage to Property

Officers were dispatched to a Brantley Way apartment July 25 in reference to damage of property. The complainant stated that when he went outside to retrieve his mail from his mailbox, he noticed that the roof of his vehicle was caved in. He also noticed footprints across the top of the car.

Theft by Taking

An officer was dispatched to the Georgia War Veterans Home at approximately 10:45 a.m. July 26 in reference to the theft of money. A man informed the officer that sometime during the night, someone took $145 from his room.

Forgery of Checks

A woman discovered that a person in College Park used one of her checks without authorization. On July 25, when she checked on her account before paying bills, she discovered that there were no funds available. Upon contacting her financial institution, they informed her that a check from a person in College Park for $104.97 was charged to her account.
