MILLEDGEVILLE — Theft by Taking

A woman at a Gordon Avenue address reported that her lawn mower was stolen June 2. When she went to retrieve her mower at approximately 4:45 p.m. she noticed that it was no longer located under her front porch.

Theft by Taking

The manager of a mobile home park on North Columbia Street reported the theft of an unknown amount of change from a Coca-Cola machine located on the premises June 6. Upon arrival, deputies noticed that the machine was lying down and had been pried open. The change box had been removed.

Simple Battery

Deputies were dispatched to a Park Avenue address June 6 in reference to a complaint of simple battery. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant who told them that at approximately 7:30 p.m. June 2, she and her daughter got into a verbal altercation over a ham and clothing. The altercation escalated when her daughter threw a toy plastic camera at her mother and struck her on the  right side of her chest.

Theft by Shoplifting

Deputies were dispatched to Dollar General on Irwinton Road June 6 in reference to a shoplifting case. An employee reported that she noticed a man at her register with a diaper bag in his shopping cart that appeared to have store items in it. Upon further investigation, she discovered several items in the bag and a package of opened baby wipes that were not paid for.
