The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.
Milledgeville Police Department
A security officer at Oconee Regional Medical Center reported Nov. 16 that a patient purposefully spit on him and kicked him.
A warrant for criminal trespass was obtained Nov. 17 after an individual who had been trespassed from a business was reported as standing near the front door and speaking with customers.
Theft by Taking
A South Liberty Street resident reported Nov. 17 that someone stole a concrete statue valued at approximately $300 from his front steps.
Criminal Damage to Property
A man reported Nov. 17 that his vehicle had been damaged. Officers confirmed three scratches on the doors.
A driver reported Nov. 17 that while she was on South Elbert Street a man threw an object at her vehicle, shattering the window.
Theft by Taking
A man reported Nov. 18 that a variety of tools had been stolen from his truck toolbox while it was parked at a hotel on North Columbia Street. Items included: a light, a drill, a socket set, a drill bit set, bits, a first aid kit, a volt meter, a rotation meter, five pairs of glove protectors and a toolbox.
Theft by Shoplifting
A pharmacy on North Columbia Street reported Nov. 18 that an individual asked to stop inside the store fled the scene and caused the front door alarms to go off.
