MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Milledgeville Police Department
Theft by Taking
It was reported Dec. 22 that after a woman went through a self checkout line at a North Columbia Street business she had asked for cash back. She stated that she forgot the money and when she returned to the register the funds were missing.
A man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct Dec. 23 after he approached a woman who was having a discussion with a police officer and began to use profanity. After refusing to be quiet and disobeying orders from the officer, he was detained.
Driving Away Without Paying for Gas
A gas station reported Dec. 23 that an individual driving a truck had pumped $67.45 worth of gasoline and then driven off without paying.
Theft by Taking
A woman reported Dec. 23 that she had forgotten her wallet in her buggy at a store on North Columbia Street. The wallet was turned into the store but the woman reported that $130 in cash and her military dependent ID card had been taken.
Possession of Cocaine
Two individuals in a vehicle were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine after officers initiated a traffic stop for the driver’s failure to maintain lane. A search of their persons and the vehicle produced a baggy of a powdered white substance and a glass smoking device.
