MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Milledgeville Police Department
A woman reported Dec. 15 at 2:29 a.m. that while downtown on North Wayne Street a man grabbed her collar from behind. She stated that she began screaming and got into her car and left the area before locating a police officer.
Driving While License Suspended
A man was arrested Dec. 15 after a traffic stop was initiated for lack of current insurance coverage. The individual was charged with driving while under the influence, operating a vehicle with no valid insurance and driving while license suspended.
Theft by Taking
Officers initiated a traffic stop Dec. 15 after noticing a vehicle with no license plate. The driver reported that she believed the tag to be stolen because she had seen it previously on the vehicle. Officers confirmed the valid registration on the vehicle as well as visible indicators of the license's presence prior to the traffic stop.
A recycling business reported a burglary in progress Dec. 15. Officers apprehended the suspect in the woods and identified him as an individual with a warrant for burglary. He was arrested, served with his outstanding warrant and charged with one count of burglary in the second degree.
