MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.
Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office
A Kenan Drive resident reported Nov. 12 that a large amount of cash was stolen from his residence where it was locked in a gun safe.
A man was issued a trespass notice Nov. 13 after it was reported by a homeowner on Helen Circle that he struck her and dragged her out of her car by her hair.
A homeowner of Selma Drive reported Nov. 11 that someone entered his home, stole a DVD player and cooked some food while he was elsewhere.
A resident of Irwinton Road reported Nov. 11 that his home was entered and that two TVs and a Playstation 3 were stolen. The home was in disarray and officers confirmed the damaged door frame that was used as entry.
An individual reported Nov. 12 that she sent $100 in good faith to a loan company that claimed it would provide her with $3,000 to assist with her college line. When the company asked for further funds and she asked for a return of the $100 she was refused.
A warrant was obtained for battery Nov. 12 after a physical altercation was reported between two individuals on Lee Street. The complainant’s face had blood on it, was cut on the cheek and forehead, several scratches were present and there was also swelling and bruising.
Leaving the Scene of an Accident
An individual was charged and arrested with leaving the scene of an accident, driving while unlicensed, failure to maintain lane and driving on the wrong side of the road Nov. 12 after officers spoke with the driver in an attempt to investigate a hit and run.
