MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Criminal Trespass

A gas station reported Dec. 12 that two individuals were seen on camera involved in a theft. One individual was seen on the video socializing with the store clerk while the other placed items in his clothing. The individual socializing with the clerk was identified and arrested for criminal trespass because he had previously been trespassed from the store and theft by shoplifting, party to the crime. The same individual was also charged with theft by shoplifting because video showed him personally pocketing candy bars.

Criminal Damage to Property

A car owner reported Dec. 12 that her vehicle had been damaged on the front passenger’s side bumper area.


A church on Wolverine Street reported Dec. 11 that it had been burglarized and that a donation box for the needy had been entered and all the donations taken.


A church on Harrisburg Road reported Dec. 11 that someone had entered the church and stolen a flat screen television and damaged several doors in the process.


An individual attempting to open a lease account with Kmart found that a fraudulent account had previously been taken out in her name. She reported the incident Dec. 11.

Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary

A Lake Drive resident reported Dec. 11 that someone had attempted to break into his home. A side window had been completely broken out.
